Varna: Part of “Petar Popov” Street temporarily closed due to reconstruction

A new stage of the large-scale reconstruction of “Petar Popov” Street has begun in Varna. The road connects the city’s residential neighborhoods with the Alen Mak area and the E87 highway.

During the excavation works, traffic on certain sections of the street will be temporarily restricted. A detour has been arranged via “Sasha Popov” Street, with signs and traffic schemes placed on site. Authorities and contractors urge drivers to remain cautious and plan their routes in advance.

The project is being implemented in three stages and includes a complete replacement of the main water pipeline, reinforcement of the roadbed, and laying of new asphalt. The works are financed by the state budget and carried out by local contractors under the supervision of municipal authorities and specialized services.

For many years, “Petar Popov” Street was in poor condition, creating inconvenience for residents and diminishing the tourist appeal of the area. The start of the reconstruction has therefore been welcomed by local businesses as well. The international development corporation KYB, which is building several modern residential complexes in Alen Mak, expressed gratitude to the Varna Municipality for initiating the project.

“For a resort city, transport accessibility is a key factor for the comfort of residents and visitors, as well as for the sustainability of the tourist season. We greatly value the initiative of the Varna Municipality and are proud to work together to improve the quality of urban life. We kindly ask drivers to be patient with the temporary inconveniences — the result will definitely be worth it,” emphasized KYB Corporation founder Oleg Nevzorov.

Varna to Build a “School of the Future” with Innovative Technologies

Varna is preparing for the launch of a large-scale educational project: the international development corporation KYB has announced the creation of an innovative school that will set a new benchmark for primary education in Bulgaria.

The future school will be based on three core principles: technology, sustainability, and energy efficiency. Its architectural concept envisions a modern building with spacious, bright classrooms equipped for interactive learning, a sports center with a swimming pool and activity areas, and landscaped green spaces.

Special attention will be paid to the use of “green” technologies: the school will be built in line with the British environmental standard BREEAM, ensuring lower energy consumption and a responsible approach to the environment.

According to the corporation’s leadership, the project is being developed in partnership with municipal authorities, parents, and educators.

“We want children in Varna to receive their education in the best possible conditions. This year, symbolically together with the start of the new school year, we are beginning joint discussions with parents and teachers about a school where every child will want to learn,” said KYB founder Oleg Nevzorov.

Representatives of the company emphasize that the school will be not only an educational but also a social project, strengthening Varna’s status as a modern city for living, working, and raising children.

“Innovations in construction and high-tech equipment, as well as a serious commitment to environmental preservation, are not a whim but the only right path to realize such a major project. And we will do everything possible to achieve it,” stated KYB CEO Andrey Nikonyonok.
